About Jen..

"I am so excited to introduce you all to Goan cuisine and share my family's delicious curries and chutneys from a very special region in India - Goa".
I started Jen's Cozinha (koh-zin-ya kitchen in Portuguese) in 2013 - a small premium artisan business selling homemade chutneys at Farmers’ Markets.
Since 2013 Jen’s Cozinha has evolved. I now manufacture Goan Curry powders in addition to Chutneys and supply direct to customers, specialty stores and supermarkets in New Zealand while still continuing to manufacture as a premium artisan brand.
Although I was born and brought up in Mumbai, my parents and generations before came from Goa which was a territory of Portugal until early 1960.
My love for Goa and Goan cuisine started from a very young age - visiting family in Goa during summer holidays. Enjoying the hot lazy days with cousins and watching my Mum and Aunt prepare and cook delicious food over wood-fire. Even now when I visit with my own family, the love for Goa and its cuisine continues to grow. Those fun times and delicious lunches and dinners are still etched in my memory - in particular the food - pure fresh local organic produce which was sourced from farmers markets or the backyard - free range!
Goan cuisine Is a mix of Indian spices with Portuguese influence. My recipes are handed down by my Mother and I continue using her traditional recipes and cooking methods.
My Promise
To provide my Customers a ‘quality and authentic’ brand of Goan-Indian Curry powders and Chutneys to enjoy with family and friends.
To deliver this unique brand which is handmade by me in it’s entirety - from family recipes, traditional cooking methods to using pure natural ingredients which tastes just like how Mum made it.
From my family to yours - enjoy!
