Goan Home Cooking Classes!  
What is Goan Cuisine?  Goan cooking is a blend of Portuguese and the Konkan region of India creating a unique cuisine.  Classes demonstrate home cooking using good quality local produce with homemade curry pastes resulting in delicious dishes.  Food is fresh, aromatic and healthy.  However, Goans cannot complete a meal without a sweet, so there will definitely be baking and dessert classes as well!
It is casual and entertaining - a real Goan experience.  For those who are kinaesthetic learners you can even join in to get hands-on practice - it is going to be fun and a memorable event. You will leave having thoroughly enjoyed coming to my home, either with a group of friends or colleagues, or simply having met new people and eagerly wanting to come again for another great cooking experience! 
My cooking skills have developed over many years!  Watching my mother cook and help her bake, spending time in my aunt’s kitchen and my keen interest in not only Goan cuisine but others too.  I have some good ’in-house’ food critics who have helped me improve over the years!
Goan cuisine is unique and quite different from other cuisines of India.  Each curry is a combination of different spices - some with fresh coconut or coconut milk, vinegar and Kashmiri chillies which are not very hot but yet gives the curry the colour and flavour.  My cooking has the right amount of spice so that you can enjoy the food.
 
Class format:
You will see the different spices that I use and learn how to make your own Goan dishes - you may even take part in the kitchen - it will be fun!  At the end of the class, you will dine and savour the dishes in true Goan style!
Class sizes are between 6-8 people.  Group bookings ONLY are accepted.  Simply choose a menu and contact me for a suitable date.  See menu & pricing below.
Please note:  There must be a minimum of 6 people for me to conduct any class.
 
From September to December is Jen's busiest time with preparation for Christmas orders and apologises for not taking any bookings.  Cooking classes usually runs from February - August each year.

Time: 6-9pm THURSDAYS & FRIDAYS ONLY

 Terms of Payment & Cancellation Policy
  • Full payment must be made prior to class date to confirm your booking.  Account details will be provided when you confirm your booking requirement.
  • In the event that I have to cancel or postpone a class, you will be offered an alternative date or full refund.
  • If you are unable to attend a class after confirmation and payment, it is not usually possible to arrange an alternative class.  In this event, please arrange for a substitute to attend in your place.
