Goan Xacuti Curry Powder

Our traditional Goan Xacuti (shakooti) makes me nostalgic of family holidays in Goa! Watching Mum and my Aunties using traditional methods of dry roasting whole spices and freshly grinding them is what makes this curry flavoursome. It is aromatic and just delicious when cooked with chicken or veggies. My pleasure to share our Goan Xacuti curry from my family to yours!

A great accompaniment to this is our Chilli Pickle or Lemon Chutney.

For vegetarian option:  use chickpeas, mung beans, cauli, green beans or your choice of vegetables.
